I got my Lumos box today and it is pretty impressive. Everything seems to be working very well.

For whatever reason though the LED lightning strip is not working. It does look like the end of it is connected to one of the molex connectors (maybe welded?) and I can confirm that molex is getting power because I have one of my SSD's plugged into it.

The remote is working fine as well because I can see the red (infrared) light on it when I press the buttons.

Any ideas?

You may in that case have to just ask DS Support to send you another RGB LED light string to replace it.

I have the Lumos and the LED strip is nice, but not easy to use let me explain what you can do.

1) Remove the glass and hold the remote by the PSU.

2) Or you can turn it on by putting remote under the Case and pointing up a little.

3) The cable management side is where the sensor has the best line of sight.

DS staff when I called sent me a PDF of what the buttosn do, that will not help you. Honestly, I don't use the LED strip due to have difficult it is.

I have the LED strip in my 6 week old Lumos. I just point the remote at the DS logo at the bottom of the front panel of the case and the lights are fully controllable from that position.

You are lucky Bob, it's not that way for me at all. I just attempted. I have to get lucky or it will not turn on. I also need luck trying to turn it off.

Ask DS where exactly the sensor is located. Then try that spot. The battery in the Remote is fully charged, right?

Good question, my build is 1.5 months old. It's very possible my "new" remote from day 1 has a bad battery. I should change it BUT with the instructions they sent me. And the 2 calls I made to support, they all simply had the same answer. Use this .pdf and learn to use your remote. I know what buttons to press, honest. The sensor and or the remote is not 100% No way to tell, so I don't use the LED anymore.

Thanks for the comments Bob. Show me that Lumos!

Here is the link to my Lumos unboxing in the General Discussion forum.

https://www.digitalstorm.com/forums/unboxing-new-lumos-tidf50541/

If you, or someone you know, has a voltmeter, it might be worthwhile checking the battery in your Remote. May be a little weak, might have been sitting on the shelf for a long time. Or, just pop in a new battery and see what happens.

Hope you can get it to work, the LED lights are a nice feature.
