Configuration ID: 3092967 (I won't post the Order Number) Good Morning John, I have been reading the DS forums this morning and I saw a few opinions that the ASUS ROG Strix Z390-H Gaming has overclocking heat issues. Is that true? To be clear I am not going to be overclocking beyond the Level 1 overclock. While looking at that I see that in the past few days that the ASUS ROG Strix Z490-H Gaming has now become available. So that leads to two questions. Is my computer actually being currently being constructed and is the Z490-H a significant upgrade that is worth doing? --------- End of email to John |

I’m having the same concerns. My build I cheaped out On the MB and paired the ASUS Prime Z-390P with a 9700k... concerned about thermals on the board and that I will never be able to overclock..

I'm not sure what they mean by overclocking heat issues. We have passed a great amount of systems with the Z390-H + 5.0GHz overclocks. If there were an issue present, we wouldn't use it. I would take online enthusiast opinions lightly. Edited by Stellar - 20 May 2020 at 9:31am |

Bought the Level 3 Lynx pre-built and a 1440p 144hz monitor. I have spoke with a couple guys at DS and have heard mixed info. Is my monitor going to be out performing my gpu?

Look up gaming benchmarks with the same equipment in your build. Also I’d say it’s better to have a system put out say 80fps on a 144hz display than be putting out 80fps and lose frames to a 60hz display! Especially if it is Freesync/Gsync compatible! |

From what i understand the speed should match up well. I'm more in question about the display qaulity at 1440p matching up to my rtx 2060 GPU. Sry I should've worded my question differently |

GTX 3000 series..and go. Acutally, i'm waiting to finally upgrade my tired ol 970 to the 3080 later on this year. Think it'll live up to the hype? Also, I wonder how soon DS gets the newer technology to display. I just ordered my wife a DS lynx here a few weeks ago so her machine is now better than mine. Im not jealous at all yesiam but once i get that card, i will reign in on top of the world again muahaha..

I didn't know that there would be the i7 series 10 chips, the Z490 MB's or the 3000 series cards coming out right after I ordered, but I am not sure it matters to me. My guess would be the price points on all those items will be expensive through Christmas so my i7-9700K and 2080 Super seem good for me.

I hear a lot of speculation when it comes to the RTX 3000 series, I'm excited. The RTX 2000 series really was just a Ray-Tracing test run. The 3000 series is where it gets interesting for consistent RTX gaming. |

I noticed you guys are on tiktok, but there’s someone impersonating digital storm and basically trying to fraud people for follows (also trying to get verified) using Digital Storm's name by offering free PCs by DS. Just thought people should know. Their discord has starting of activities that goes against ToS most likely as well with their own "shops". Also seems like a kid doing this to try and scam people after watching some videos.

Discord is an effective communication tool but it is not a message board. More of a rolling chat room. Most effective when there are a large number of participants interacting with each other. There is also the possibility to break off into closed groups to communicate, etc. Mics are not required but are supported in case you wish to speak to each other. A number of games without this feature recommend sites like Discord as a third party site to enable communication while playing the game. Check it out. It's quite a useful tool. |
