Will this monitor work well with gaming? But I assume with it resolution for 29" the clarity won't be good?

Although I imagine that would be great for multitasking, I feel like gaming on a monitor like that would be awkward.
For the same price you could look at something like the Dell UltraSharp 2713HM. Higher pixel count and likely a higher quality monitor. I don't really know much about desktop monitors but the UltraSharps are very highly recommended here.

while the ultra wide monitors look AWESOME. I nearly bought one. Look on youtube, there are videos of gaming on them. It is kinda awkward with the UI for gaming. But if you can get past that, i dont see any major problem. On the Other hand, you can grab 3x 24in monitors and you will have a larger gaming surface area than 1 of these, and prolly the same price if you do it right.
My recommendation would be one of the Dell Ultrasharps, they are godly. I myself have a U2711, it cost me 700 bucks a year ago, and the price has stayed the dame to this day. But it is definatly worth the price. One thing dell does right is monitors. |
