Topic: Lighting Control for Lumos Posted: 07 Jan 2018 at 2:50pm |
I was just wondering if there was anyway other than using the buttons on the Lumos frame to control the lights on the fans. I do not have any hydrolux water cooling on my frame so I do not have the control center.

OK so I emailed them and unfortunately the only way is to order the hydroflux cooling or getting one of the fan sets that come with software for them.

Yeah I don't like the preset options for fan lighting, the led strip is fine it has way more options. I would like if digital storm made a download for that software on its site instead of having to get a whole new computer.

I see you are frustrated.
I assume you are talking about the LED rim around the fans as shown in the pics of the Lumos case. I also assume you can only elect blue, red or green. Do you have the remote controlled lighting strip? If the problem is a clash between what the fans are doing and what you want from the light strip, you could look for wires coming from the fans that are separate from the power for the fans themselves. If that exists, perhaps you could turn the fan lights off completely by unplugging a header. Alternatively, you could replace the fans themselves with something you like. Fans are not terribly expensive, and if you don't like messing around inside your case, it might not be too costly to have a local repair shop or Geek Squad do it for you. Just tryin' ta help |

I was talking about the fan's lights, thanks for the advice and sorry for the late reply. The led strip is fine since I can control it easily, lately the strip has been getting glitches, for example half of the led strip is stuck on a pattern of lights and the other half is making the normal animation. It does fix itself after a while.
I will see if i can replace the fan lighting. |

Sorry about the glitches. It seems you're still under warranty, and you could ask for a new strip. yo're bound to find some fans you'd like. best of luck!
