First, the specs that matter:

Chassis Model: Digital Storm Triton 15.6 Inch Laptop (Model: S:7851)
Display: 15.6 Inch Full HD (IPS Display) (144Hz Refresh) (5ms) (1920x1080) (Matte)
Processor: Intel Core i7-8750H (6-Core) (Up to 4.1GHz)
Memory: 32GB DDR4 2400MHz
Storage Drive 1: M.2 SSD - 500GB Digital Storm Performance Series (NVM Express)

Now that that is over with, here's the issue: I have tried numerous Linux installations [hint: I have been using Linux professionally and personally for well over 15 years], and every time, it crashes out right after the GRUB screen, where I select to boot into the OS. What I am left with is an entirely blank screen that is on; when I boot into Windows, it is perfectly fine.

I have installed Arch and Ubuntu at least 15 times professionally and in setting up servers/systems for other people, and have never had an issue. I have done it from DVDs as well as USB installers. As a matter of fact, I have even tested the very images I'm using on other PCs/Laptops (Dell/MSI), and everything is working as I expect.

So, has anyone recently been able to get a Triton series (or any DS laptop) to run Linux? Also, I am a developer, so I am not looking to install a distro that is dumbed down out of the gate; I'll go with Windows and a VM before I go that far.

Thanks,

Paul
