So I've been getting really into playing with my computer, adding hard drives, switching fans, and generally just turning into an enthusiast.

Two questions:

1) How difficult/dangerous is it to build your own liquid cooling system from scratch (or is there a kit, which would be better)?

2) Is there a good place to go for beginners like me who just want to customize/mess with everything under the sun in terms of their computer? I never thought I would get so into my computer until I got my DS system.

1, it is not very difficult, nor dangerous, as long as you have the basic knowledge, and understanding of what you are doing. I have ruined a lot of equipment over the years, , and some has come from water cooling mistakes, all from me just being stupid, and/or buying Koolance water blocks. lol but I have not had any for a while now.
don't get any kits, , build your own setup.
any design, maintenance, building  info you need just ask away.

Can you point me in the direction of a rudimentary guide?

I am willing to spend 200, 300, or up to around 400 for all the parts and whatnot. I have no idea if that's a lot or a little. If you have any design suggestions for that price range I would love to hear them.
