Just wondering. have a liquid cooled Kronos on the way, but someone said just like oil you should change it every few years? Is that true? If so why?

after awhile the old fluid can start to build up bacteria and algae and it will clog up your loop so it is good practice to keep it topped off and do periodic changes of the liquid. I don't think i would go years without changing the liquid but maybe like every other month or so. Just ask digital storm and theyll tell you how long you can go without.

The new coolants don't require the frequent changes they did in the past (although I never heard of every other month!). I am using an EK Evo clear and it is in its 4th year and crystal clear.(temps have been steady and low throughout) Make sure you keep topped off with exactly the same coolant in the loop. Good luck. Enjoy.
