You should definitely consider our xm15 Level 3 configuration. It has a bigger screen, more memory, and has a solid state drive. (http://www.digitalstormonline.com/product.asp?id=292347). It's only $100 more, but, the extras are well worth it!

The Alienware M14x (14" screen ) weighs 6.5 pounds. The Digital Storm xm15 (15.6" screen) weighs 5.9 pounds. You could always have DS replace your Intel SSD to a 500Gb HDD. I would recommend getting the SSD because it's soooooo fast.
