Budget:
[1,000 - 2,500 (could push the cap up to 3k, but the more money I can save, the better.). So long as the computer can reach my expectations.]

Expectations:
[The PC will be expected to play MMO games (maximum settings for optimal graphics with smooth FPS), and to run Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, etc) without any hiccups. ]

Usage:
[The computer's primary usage will be to play MMO's, such as; Everquest 2 (older game circa 2004, but very demanding on the cpu), Rift(2011 released. A GTX 570 could run it at max, with some low fps within a crowded area of other online players), FFXI (older game circa 2003). In addition to general internet browsing, and utilizing some graphic design programs for the occasional project or two]

Special Needs:
[I have animals, so hair is commonplace around the apartment. Looking for case solutions that would minimize the hair and debris from entering my system. I also do not have allot of space on or around my desk area, so a small form factor design would be ideal for me.]

Additional Information:
I own a gaming keyboard, mouse, and have a 24" LED monitor all set to go... I've never owned a solid state drive, but would like to. However, I noticed many configurations with SSD options, include a second mechanical HDD. This would be two drives to manage, with which I have no experience doing so. As such, I am unsure of what it entails (maintaining).

Is the Bolt something you would consider? It can definitely pack the power you want, and its most certainly compact. However, I wasn't sure if you were wanting a more "traditional" tower.

If so, the Bolt Level 3 is a great starting place to tweak as you deem necessary (if at all).

The Bolt is an ideal size from the video I watched detailing it's highlights. In addition, I found the design very appealing. I haven't seen another computer like that anywhere else.

I second the vote on using the BOLT. It's a whole lotta awesome in a small package.

Here's a few builds I made for you:

853662 - $2323 - BOLT - Super compact design. Your choice of case color & OS.
853670 - $2446 - VIRTUE - A small but powerful mid tower. Using new CPU (Haswell). Your choice of OS.
853673 - $2521 - ENIX - Small package but more upgradable than the BOLT. Using new CPU (Haswell). Your choice of OS.
853678 - $2483 - SLADE - Similar to the VIRTUE but has a noise insulated case. Using new CPU (Haswell). Your choice of OS.
853682 - $2532 - ODE - Again, similar to the VIRTUE. Using new CPU (Haswell). Your choice of OS.

All systems above have i7 CPU's for maximum gaming and Adobe CS power, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD primary drive, 1TB 7200 secondary drive & nVidia GTX 780 GPU. The mid tower designs have PSU & MoBo to allow a 2nd GPU in the future (SLI). As noted above, only the BOLT is using a 3rd Gen i7 CPU whereas the rest are using 4th Gen i7 CPU's.

You'll have to let us know what you end up going with!

Thanks for the replies and greatly needed input everyone. Fstcvc, I checked out some of your suggested builds, but could not pull up the bolt build for some reason. At this point, I am sure the bolt is for me. I love the compact design and look of the chasis. With that being said, I have some further questions that perhaps some of you folks may be able to assist me with... I have never had more than one harddrive in a system, and have no experience with SSD's or maintaining two drives. I see many of the configurations include a smaller capacity SSD in the primary slot, with the larger capacity HDD in the secondary slot... Forgive the ignorance, but how does that setup work? Do I have to direct each and every program, and save, into one of the specific drives to ensure the primary doesnt get filled? In addition, how much ram do I really need? I have ordered a system here before (in early 2011) and had several problems with the overclock, among other things (some bad ram). Hoping for a smoother experience this time around! Thanks for everyones help!

Try the BOLT link again. Just fixed it.
As far as the 2 drive setup goes, SSDs are more expensive but faster. So the idea is you use SSD for your OS, apps and anything requiring speed. The standard drive is then used for mass storage - photos, videos, music, etc.
And for OC'ing, I think I deselected on all the builds. Helps in long term stability and cooling.
