I was looking at getting this configuration. I really cant decide which case to get either there 850 or 950 as they are both good cases.

I also had a question as i wanted to get liquid cooling and if it helps more than air. Also whats the difference between the cool it eliminator and the frostbite liquid chilled one?

Also is the 2 9800gtx worth the extra money? I havent seen much said about them.

Any advice would be welcome

Well, I can't help you alot here but I will put in my 2 cents worth.

I would choose the 850 case over the 950 case because: folds more fans+ better air flow.

From what I understand, unless you plan severely overclock you CPU (I.e. 4+ GHz on an E8400) you don’t really need liquid cooling.

I would chose 2 9800Gx2 (or even 1) because from what I understand the Gx2= 2 cards in one, GTX= 1 beefed up card? Also considering the price of a Gx2 over a GTX it sounds like the Gx2 is better (why have a more expensive card if a cheaper one is better?)

I don’t know if I answered the questions you were looking for. If I was you I would wait for someone else's opinion besides mine, I’m not that experienced in this stuff.

I would stay with the cards you have. The GTX is a ton less expensive than the gx2, and actually supposedly has better fps than the gx2 in the lower reloloutions even with the sli on with the gx2. Also, liquid cooling would only be helpful if you'r planning on overclocking your cpu to 4+ghz, which would be cool, but is very expensive. With a case as good as the 850, cooling defiantly wont be a problem. Also, personally, I think that overclocking your ram is more important than your video cards. If your going to OC only 2 components, i would do the cpu and ram. 2 gtx's is more than enough for power, and overclocking them probably wouldn't have much of a gain because their factory clock speeds are already pretty high for the harware. Thats all i have to say, and i hope you found it helpful.

Im going to say 950 case especially if you go with watercooling your CPU, its better designed for water then the 850 as well as the 950 has duel side vents that are placed exactly where the graphic card(s) will be, so the cool air being drawn into the case goes right over the card(s) first and directly. So youd have a nice watercooled CPU and a better then average air cool on your GPU.

I cant tell you anything about the 9800GTX cards, and honestly nobody can, they havent been released yet. Going by asumptions im guessing they will fall somewhere around being slightly better then the 8800GTS 512 cards. So in a sense 2 of them should be even with or slightly above the performance of a single Gx2. Keep that in mind cost wise. The downside i see with the Gx2 is the heat problems and the fact it vents its heat mostly back inside the case instead of pulling it out the case.

Also keep in mind if you really need SLI. What resolution you play on is mostly the deal maker, 1600xwhatever or higher and SLI will start to show a real impact. At lower then that you wont see anything really noticeable to your eyes as most of the high end singles can handle that stuff alone.

The 9800GTX is ONLY cheaper then the Gx2 if you have only one of them.

Also keep in mind the CPU and GPU both are NOT out yet, so even if you bought it today, youd still have to wait for them to be released on top of your wait for them to build it. I guess itd be sorta like a gamble/preorder type deal.

The CPU is out, confirmed from multiple sources that boutique builders and major system retailers were provided first stock of the new quad chip.  My guess is that DS as a Premier Intel Suscriber got their hands on a select quanity of chips for future systems.

I'm not really sure which card is better, but some of the review's i've read have said that the gtx is supposed to get around 190fps for hl2ep2, while the gx2 gets 200-ish. To me, 10 frames per second  and the fact that some games can't utilize both gpu's in the gx2 make me think that the 300$ difference in the cards is  not worth it. But that's just my opinion, and im sure some one else has a differing one, so you could go each way, but with the psw you have, you're never going to be able to go quad sli with the gx2's, and im guessing you could with the gtx's, so thats my opinion. Thank's.

that 190 to 200 FPS is probably at a lower resolution like 1024 x whatever. At a low rez the differences between the two are probably too tiny to notice, its at the high rez where the GX2 will start to pull away, because it is in a sense just like SLI.

Im looking at having either a 19 or 20 inch monitor once i get more money. Right now i got a 17 inch  from my old comp that im gonna use for my new comp until i buy a new monitor. Is the Liquid Chilled FrostBite worth the extra $40 over the cool it eliminator one.

I wouldnt recommend SLI for a monitor that small. The max resolutions it can do are not really within the range where SLI really starts to make a major impact. But its your money. I would research on it more and figure out if you want to spend that extra dough for it considering your improvements wont be as much if you used a 22 to 24+ monitor.

Maybe youll get lucky. I got a 27.5 hanns G from BB for 439.99. Mostly due to it being the display model, as well as being slightly damaged (ie it was missing a plastic cover over the LED light in the front...no big deal).

Its a decent monitor to be sure, big selling point it is size and cost. Though it has some major backlight issues, but that isnt a big deal to me, others it would be but im not a huge picture quality freak.

You might be able to find one for cheap, Best Buy is not getting anymore of those, they are being replaced with a true 28 Hanns Spree, so if you get lucky maybe youll find that the store only has the display model left. Just make sure it hasnt been on display for more then say...3 months.

Even so that might be a little above your price range, not sure how much you wanna spend on top of your gift card. for 250 you could get probably a decent 22inch.
