Got my DS PC in Jan 2008 and I'd like to upgrade my video card but not sure what will work w/ the components I have.

Motherboard: nForce 650i Ultra
PSU:  560w Silverstone Strider
Processor:  Core 2 Duo 6750 2.66 Ghz
Ram:  upgraded to 8gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800Mhz
Current Video Card:  also upgraded already to 9800gt 512mb

Really can't afford a new system right now, but would like to upgrade at least the video card to get a little better performance in some MMO's I'm playing (currently SWTOR, GW2 & soon back to Rift).  Also looking for a card that only requires ONE 6 pin power connector (only because I'm not sure where to look for another available 6 pin power connector from the PSU:X)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You might be able to use something like this:
It converts two 4-pin Molex power supply connectors into a single 6-pin

You beat me to it bprat:
Take look here and it will at least give you a place to start looking.

Hi CougarX6...      Your mobo supports Pciex16 so an upgrade to the new gtx 660 will give you a Huge boost in gaming.    The Gtx 660, Not the 660Ti, needs only a single 6 pin psu power connector.    The Gtx660Ti and gtx 670 would need the dual 6 pin power connector.

Go gtx660 and you'll be happy for some time.

Hope this helps.

Edit....   Hi JerryW.....   between us we have Cougar covered.

Thanks for the replies guys.

The GTX 660 is a little pricey, but probably worth it.  Might have to wait and see if there are any deals around Black Friday.

Any thoughts on the 650 TI?  Seems the performance is close to the 660 and it's a little cheaper, but for $50 I should probably just save for the 660.

I do understand tight money and in the end the money wins out.   But, the better video card the better gaming and there is a big drop in gaming between 660 and 650.
Here's a link that compares the two that'll help you decide what you need by looking at the games and resolutions with frames per second.

Either is good gaming so good luck and let us know how it goes.
