Well, the PC I am using now was purchased from DS.  You can see the specs in my signature.  I have upgraded to 8G of RAM and to a nVidia GTX 560t.  I see quite a bit has changed since I was last here. I was looking to buy a completely new system, and was thinking about the Syndicate Model Ultimate level 4.

For video: 2x SLI Quad SLI (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 3GB
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1333MHz

Is this setup overkill or should I stick with it?

Bad idea, post your budget and the native res of the monitor you gonna be gaming at in the config section and we can help you from there.

big no to quad sli 590.
