Topic: Lost IE8 32 bit in Win 7 64 bit...help!! Posted: 09 Dec 2010 at 8:50pm |
My grandson managed to screw up my pc today when I wasn't looking. I have NO 32 bit IE8 only 64 bit.I don't even have the shortcut for it, In the Internet Explorer folder I have iexplore BUT not ieexplore.exe. When I click on it nothing happens.
I tried the the "Turn windoes features on or off" for Internet Explorer but it did not work .Still NO 32 bit browser. I ran SFC but to NO avail. Please don't tell me I will have to reinstall my Win 7 64 bit os again!! Any tech help would be GREATLY appreciated. Edited by ziggy - 09 Dec 2010 at 8:51pm |

You are not to be able to uninstall IE 8 in Win 7.Tried IE 9 64 bit works.Tried IE9 32 bit and get the same message I did when I tried to install IE8 32 bit. It says it doesn't support this OS. I uninstalled IE 9 64 bit and it reverted me back to IE * 64 bit.

Ya I was gonna make sure your pc is clean before I suggest that file, I also was not sure if it would fix your problem, but I'm glad it did, check your pc for viruses anyways.
