Turned my rig off to clean yesterday. When I rebooted, it told me OC had failed, hit F1 to reset. I did. It took me to a OC screen. Of course I had no idea what to do with it. I hit escape and booted. Everything is fine except I'm back to base clock of 4.0.

I want my .3 back.

Hi Doc... Use CPUZ to verify its gone while under load. If so, go into Bios, Tools tab, Asus Overclock profiles and load one, then save and exit.   Use the mobo manual if needed.

Yeap, we have the overclock saved in the BIOS profile usually. Unless your order is quite old? I see your order from 2009 with your forums account.

This is my brand new Velox. Always afraid to break something going into the BIOS. No idea what reset whatever got reset in the first place. Computer doesn't go to sleep anymore either. I can fix that, just don't know why it changed.

If you load our saved BIOS profile (hopefully it is still there) it should revert back to our settings.

It's real simple to do, especially if they have it saved. Worse case, you can always call into customer support and they can help walk ya through it.

Good to hear.

Bios reset can be from an improper shutdown, crash, hitting the CMOS reset key , etc.

Have fun.

It's ok. You're a Doctor, damn it. Not a Computer Engineer (Jim).
