You know guys we/you should not post like "that". posting in which you guys left your Console systems to collect dust because you guys just got your D.S. PC's and totally forgot about your console. because you've been stunned just by looking at the newly delivered PC from the day you got it and  that memory just kept on haunting you for days till present.

Wish this would not happen to me Wink
(and I know it will). lmao  Smile
(soon my DS PC will be delivered, can't wait !!)

Yeah, I hope that doesn't happen to me too, especially since most of the games I play are better suited for PC. Of course, there are still plenty of console games coming out that look really good.

I hope it happens in regards to FPS.  FPS should not be played on Console....it's just not right.
 
I still play sports titles on console frequently... plan to play more family oriented games on them too... it's also my Blueray player, alternative internet, picture/music storage and has a ton of uses for me and the family.
 
Let's not forget the online downloads, game trials, GTAIV and the like that are absolute necessities for console.  I love the utility a console provides... not many crash to desktop or blue screen of deaths there.  HD gaming on a large TV.....shall I go on?
 
Rpg's and such are 50/50 ... but I think we'll see a lot of strides taken on MMO'S and RPG's in the coming years, starting with Diablo and Fallout-esk games.

FPS on Console gaming is awesome! but the thing is, I'm a PC gamer so, when i started playing Console FPS i honestly suck at it. Just using the PS3 controller and trying to controller it makes it a challenge.

but there are some features that a Console FPS do not have on the PC.
like the ... hmmm... hmmmm... yeah like that thing.Ouch

I like playing both my computer and 360 for games, mmos for computer and like cod4 and 5 on 360. Shooting games I have to have a controller.

I love my consoles. And I will continue to love them. My gaming circle will be complete when I get a Wii. Right now I have a DS at stage 5 a PS3 and an XBOX 360 Ouch MMOs, some of the FPSs, a few RPGs(Dragon Age), and RTS will be transfered to the PC. Other than that things will stay on the console. I just find it a easier way of gaming, but the PC offers a lot of flexibility, and can be more rewarding than consoles, so yeah it really depends on how you look at it. I like them all, at the end of the day its about gaming, not about the medium you game on. Which ever you like you should stick with it.

The last time I played FPS on the PC was like 4-5 years back, when  I used to play CS:S with friends. So I am going to restart with Crysis and Far Cry 2, and most than likely FEAR 2(that game is just not scary enough on the TV).

The PS3 controller doesnt handle FPS games vary well. It is something they need to fix with the analog sticks. Try the XBOX360 controller it works much better for FPS games. One trick you can try is not to use the right stick(move the crosshair) as much as the left stick. When on a pc you use the mouse more then W,A,S,D, with consoles it is the other way around.

I wish I could use my XBOX controller on the PS3 they nailed the 360 controller exactly the way I wanted it. The PS3 controller really is too small, and the the fact that the analog sticks dont have a depression on them to rest my thumbs is not all that fun to play with.

Heh I feel just the opposite.  I hate those xbox360 controllers.  They are big and clunky and the d pad is just horrible.  Anyways... I'm planning on buying a PS3 here soon.  I personally just like the kind of games for PS better than any other system.  I had a Wii but I sold it because I hated it so much.  The games are just to gimmicky for my taste.

Many of us love to play video games but we tend to become sad when we see the older games we once really loved to play are a thing of the past. The newer games are more in depth and geared towards the younger generations in most regards.

I don't think I'm in any danger of ever having that happen - as much as I love playing, say, Dragon Age or Battleforge on my PC, I can equally spend hundreds of hours playing Monster Hunter on my PSP or Demon's Souls on my PS3.

You gotta to learn to love all your gaming, doesn't matter where it comes from!

I love consoles and PCs, best of both worlds! I seriously cannot wait for the Metal Gear Solid collection HD, ICO/Shadow of the Colossus HD, Silent Hill 2&3 HD, and Zone of the Enders 1&2 HD games that are coming out. I am  a BIIIIIG Metal Gear Solid fan. I met Kojima at Comic Con and choked up trying to say something to him in Japanese hahaha. I'm really glad Zone of the Enders are getting HD remakes, because I didn't buy them for the PS2 in the past. Now, if only they will make all the Fatal Frame games in HD =] AND Metal Gear Solid. I'm guessing the 1st Metal Gear Solid will be difficult to make into HD since it's a PS1 game, but still, nothing beats the 1st one. MGS4 was a super teaser with the Shadow Moses Island level!

Thanks :D it was an honor! I really hope some day you will get the chance to meet him as well. It was like I was blessed by a gaming God lol. Well, he IS "God" in Metal Gear Solid 4. Hahaha.
