I have the Corsair SP2500, they aren't bad. They can get very loud with hardly any distortion, however, I prefer larger bookshelf based reference speakers.
 
I'm not sure about the Logitech units.

You have a 2.1 vs 5.1 speaker systems here. Maximum PC gave the Z Logitech 5906 high reviews. The majority of the time always  5.1 systems will sound better.Better separation of the music.The center speaker is the most important one.Your voices come out that speaker.The 2 back speakers  are the fill in sounds. You cant forget the .1 or sub

Scream, I have the bose companion 5 and am more than happy with it. I have had it for a few years now and the sound is great for music and game playing.hope this helps a little.

If you are just looking for 2.0 sound, then the GigaWorks T40 Series II are an awesome set of speakers. I upgraded to them from an older 2.1 system and the difference was night and day. Just be sure you get the T40s over the T20s and that its the Series II model.

I agree with the logitech's are very good, i personally run a cable to my receiver and use my polk monitor 50's for sound

I agree with surf71zx. You can't compare 2.1 speakers with 5.1 speakers. They are just so different. Do you have a way to mount 2 speakers behind you and to the side? If not, I would get a 2.1 system.

I have the Klipsch 2.1 and like them a lot. You can buy replacement parts and make repairs your self. The replacement parts are kits so if the amp goes out you can buy a new board and change it easily. Service is great and so is the sound.

I have never been a fan of the Bose 2.1 systems. They just sound off to me.

The face of the Klipsch 2.1 speakers come with a black cloth cover. That is what the four corner holes are for.

While Bose makes nice speakers, I would never buy them as they are grossly overpriced for what you are getting. The only reason you should consider them is due to: appearance, size or they are on sale. Otherwise, you will be able to get comparable/better quality for much less money.
