Unless you are just so madly in love with the look of liquid cooling you can hardly stand it, I would immediately ditch that potential nightmare and spend that money where it will really count. Liquid loops can and will leak, and they require regular maintenance which can be a royal PITA, just so you know.
Your CPU, board, RAM are all fine;. The PSU is just okay, but for $36 for the 850W you'd be golden for future upgrades. The DS M.2 drive is a SATA part. For $64 you get a 500GB Firecude NVMe SSD that is over 5 TIMES as fast! Excuse me for being blunt, but your GPU is the slowest least capable card you can get. I would prefer to see you gaming happily with some excellent video response than gazing longingly at the purty fluid circulating around in them tubes, if you catch my drift! Step up to an RTX 2060, please. It qualifies you for a $200 discount which brings the price down to $1938 for all the changes I recommend. The gaming you will enjoy on that rig on any 1080p monitor going will amaze you. if you can't quite swing that, at least the 1660 Ti will get you the $200 off. By all means, get the free internal lighting. |
