Welcome to the forum KartRacerNC! Great Lumos build!
We usually don’t suggest overclocking the video card as it doesn’t accomplish much in performance, but can add heat & stress to your video card. It will only cost you $63 to put the base model 750w PSU back in your build. You would have enough power now with the 600w, but later when you upgrade your video card, you don’t want to have to change out that minimum power PSU just so you can put a better video card in (I’ve had to do that before...think cable re-routing work as the 600w doesn’t appear to be modular)) . That 750w Corsair PSU is certified 80% Gold efficiency, fully modular, and carries a 10 year warranty. |

HockeyBuck's got your back. It's not the best idea to just get the minimum PSU for your config. Having more overhead can mean smoother running and more efficient output. |

Thanks for the info. Will be making the change to the PSU. Have thought about going with the msi carbon ac motherboard as well. Any opinions on that change?

I think there is not a lot of difference between the 2 boards quality and feature set other than WiFi...both brands have their fans & haters here. If you need WiFi the MSI Pro Carbon will do nicely! Going to be a solid Lumos build for you to enjoy for a way long time!

I prefer the Pro Carbon just for the fact Asus delivers very poor customer service. Both boards carry 3 year warranties, and it's very unlikely either will fail in that time, but....
The MSI Pro Carbon AC is wi-fi equipped. DK why it doesn't say. |

Thanks for the feedback. Have changed to the 750w psu and the msi mobo. Also removed oc on gpu. Been in stage 1 for 3 weeks now (15 business days) hopefully will move this week. So looking forward to getting it.

So, I have been reading through the forums and came across the fact that the lumos only comes with three front fans. What about the two in the top and one one the rear. Partly why I bought this rig. Can someone please explain.

Every picture I see and YouTube video shows six fans on this rig.

Hey KartRacerNC... If your final DS order still included the Corsair LL Series fan upgrade as it shows above, fans will be the same as on the Lumos I just received in January for my son (mine had the H20 Hydrolux Lite Swiftech branded 240mm cooler). You should see 6 amazing Corsair LL Series fans...3 intake 120mm at front, 2 exhaust 120mm on your Corsair 240mm AIO cooler, one exhaust 120mm at the back. Looked like this out of the box...
You can always confirm all that with DS Customer Support while you wait, but your rig should look way way cool sir in whatever color scheme you want! The Corsair CUE software controls all the incredible color selections. (My son took over with the CUE application and had the colors changed to his liking in no time.)
