Do the 2021 models come with USB-Type C ports on the motherboard?

I have a monitor that needs to use USB-C and I'm a bit concerned as it also needs to pass data (RGB)



I also thought these are ready to ship but I've been stuck on Stage 2 since last week.

Sez here, the Lynx 2 has a mobo that sports:

1 x USB 2.0 connector (supports additional 2 USB 2.0 ports)
1 x USB 3.2 Gen1 5Gbps connector (supports additional 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 5Gbps ports)

Sounds like you can pass through a powered device to a hub with two more ports, or just go with up to a triple hub. USB 3.2 gen 1 is the same thing as USB 3.0, just re-named. They accept Type C connectors.

The Lynx 4 either runs the same motherboard, or slightly better.

A heads-up for you, in looking this up, the Lynx 3 and 4 are "out of stock". Hope it doesn't mean yours.

luckily i ordered mine last week, they said it will be shipped by end of week. Just went to stage 3 this morning.


i see just ordered a 5 GBPS usb-c to A adapter (but the correct way like usb-c female or whatever) it should work its literally only for syncing the RGB on the monitor (and or display but im going to be using the display port)


The RTX 3080 + build for $2299 was too hard to pass up.

Ohh damn

Got an email at 12:39 PM today that stage 6 is passed and in stage 7 :D ordered next day delivery and I'm in CA.


Hopefully, it'll arrive soon, monitor is here already.

If you like, you could have DS send me your system to burn it in and game it like crazy till mine arrives. I would be sure it was truly working to spec before I forwarded yours back to you.

IIRC this was the famous DST4ME Stage 8.... We had lots of volunteers to take care of that....

I could have been getting me some close combat wins that my old 12 year old DS beast was having trouble processing fast enough.

My new one is coming but you can't blame a guy for wanting to try out somebody else's latest & greatest while waiting for his own to arrive.
