So I ordered my Lynx Level 2 last Friday on the 22nd & it entered stage 1 on Monday... I was wondering since mine isn’t a custom order will it ship out faster since it’s pre-built? I’m just alittle confused why it would take so long if it’s already pre-built... all they would have to do is test it and ship it after determining if it’s solid product... thanks

I'm still a noob with DS, but I've also purchased a lynx level 4 recently (ordered on May 6, payment processed on May 6). I've been reading up on these forums a lot while I wait. Digital Storm has a backlog. When you order, there are people who are still in front of you, so you go into a backlog, they start picking parts in preparation of your build, etc. That's stage 1. I'm still in stage 1 today, but according to a phone call with their customer service team, my build is scheduled for this week. That's pretty much right in schedule of what is promised, a little behind schedule but not by much (especially considering the pandemic).
Our model is a prebuild, yeah, but it's not just built and sitting there on a warehouse shelf waiting for someone to buy it. They build it to order, thus the log and the wait. |

Oh god.... then I’ll be waiting for a LONGGG time :( that’s unfortunate... my followers on twitch are gonna be upset knowing I won’t be streaming for a whole month or maybe longer... |

Ordered Lynx levels 2 & 3 May 7th and both shipped today with arrival date of Friday. So they met the 10-15 biz day expectation, even though I was starting to get impatient.

Well that’s odd... shouldn’t the other guy be on shipping stage too? He ordered a day before you.. idk if it’s in order honestly it’s seems like they’re all unorganized.. well I hope it doesn’t take 6 weeks for a pre build... I’ll regret the order that’s for sure! |

I'm the one who stated I ordered a 4, the original poster ordered a 2. Rather than speculating, my suggestion would be to call Digital Storm directly to ask what the delay is. I am in the EDT timezone, so I called around 12:30 PM and got straight through. That would be right after they opened. Prior to that, I put in a request for an email response and hadn't received one, so I just called and got an explanation for my timeline. They're a smallish company and likely understaffed currently with covid-19. I work in the shipping/logistics industry and I can attest that supply chains everywhere are kind of wacky right now as a result of the pandemic. There's also the issue of payment processing. PandemicNA ordered on May 7, but it's possible his payment cleared sooner than the original poster's. All I can say is that the reputation of this brand stands, and I'm willing to be patient for a quality built machine. I had no inclination to build it myself.

I called today and they said it would ship by June 12th so I’m happy to hear they have an ideal ship date for me... so I should have it by the middle of June which is perfect... 🥳

Could possibly mean they’re sold out? Idk! You know you are able to call them :) they will let you know what the error code means in more detail... but if I were you I’d go with the level 3 anyways... it comes with a way better graphic card... kinda regret not spending the extra money but I’m grateful for what I’m getting... just gonna take forever 😅 |

Just wanted to share this here:
We do have some good news though, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Things are improving and we hope to be back to normal in terms of production time frames towards late June to early July. For now, custom builds are 6 weeks and Lynx orders can be 15-20 business days. Once we catch up, we will bring these timeframes down. |
