I know the specs are a little different, but I figured the Blackbird would have been a little more beefy compared to our system:

Nice Alex, not surprising, but very nice. Wink

I'm just waiting to see the new and improved version when the new NVidia 9800 GX2 GPU's hit. I want to see benchmarks of a Twister running two of those bad boys in quad SLi. Big%20smile

For all we know the DS comp could have SLI ultras and the blackbird using a single 8800.

I seriously doubt that the specs were identical, because I'm pretty sure hp bloatware doesn't cut system performance in half.

*edit* Hah, I knew it!

1 Ultra vs 3? Not too surprising of an outcome, but for $4700 and only 1 Ultra... DSO's version is around $6000 and you get 3 instead.

Heh. I'll say that the Crysis benchmark is not what impresses me. Those minimum framerates are still not what I would call acceptable, so *meh* (and btw, that indifference is leveled squarely at Crysis, *not* DSO's rig). The bigger thing is Call of Jaurez. I have never seen a NVidia based system maintain frames like this before:

Normally, in order to get that kind of framerate, you're looking at a crossfire platform, since the game is one of the few titles out there that was optimized for ATI GPU's. A min frame rate of 36 in that game, at that resolution on a Nvidia based system, is *IMPRESSIVE*.
