I decided to try out Digital Storm due to having a really bad time with ---------. I looked up DS and everything that they said they had going for them made me lean into the palm very, very willingly. I ended up buying a Vanquish Level 4 and I sent them the payment via Paypal. That was on Jan. 16th. It is now Jan. 22nd and I still have not seen hide, hair, or mention of my order being processed and ready to send to me. The site says it ships within 3 days. Well I do not want to be ansty or rude but "Time's Up." I checked my Paypal and it said the transaction was completed on my side.
But when I called in to DS today their customer service rep tells me that the transaction had not been completed on their side. (How is this possible when you sent me the invoice asking me to make the payment and I did it immediately while talking to some one in their accounting department named "John".) I want to know what is going on and I want to know now, not later. It sounds like I am being pushy and rather rude but considering I got screwed by --------- over a 1200+ rig before, I am not looking to get screwed again over one that out me 1300+ either from a company that says they excel in customer service. :C EDIT: Competitor name removed - Alex Edited by Alex - 22 Jan 2014 at 4:15pm |

I assure you Digital Storm isn't out to screw you like the other competitor did but i don't know why the transaction isn't completed on their side but try emailing Alex at [email protected] and see if he can get to the bottom of this.
Also Alex frequents these forums a lot so maybe he'll log on sometime today and say something if he doesn't get your email. Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 22 Jan 2014 at 12:07pm |

Digital Storm does not use Pay Pal because the transaction fees are to high. I suggested this in the past.

Is there an option to use PayPal now? Because when i ordered in 2012 PayPal wasn't an option.
If they don't use PayPal then i can see how the transaction wasn't completed on their end. Either way send Alex an email and i'm sure he'll get this all sorted out. Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 22 Jan 2014 at 12:31pm |

That's not true at all because customer service told me they do use Paypal. The option is not on the check out process you have to click on PO and let them know you want to use Paypal as your method of paying. I was told the reason for this is because they want to make sure you are willing to pay the additional 1.9% rate on the payment. But that 1.9% only sums up to about 27 dollars or so usually and that is miniscule when compared to what you are buying. Regardless I just got a confirmation email from them for Stage 1 of the delivery process. So it looks like everything is ready to go. If I do have further problems though I am going to reuse this topic or contact Alex as I was told. |

DS uses Paypal, reflectionblue is correct, they've used PayPal for at least 3 years.

Lol well i wish i had known that when i bought my computer late of 2012, i probably wouldn't have had that payment delay due to the billing address being incorrect. Oh well i can always use the PayPal option the next time i buy a computer. |

Yeah, I never knew why they didn't have it as a selectable menu option, but thanks to reflectionblue's inquiry now I know why. But yeah, always next time.

Under Brainstorm Dept. On JULY 13,2013 Alex chimed in and said Pay Pal is not used because of high transaction fees. If digital Storm is using now that's new and should be advertised. I suggested this and got shot down saying it's not feasible.

I read that as Alex explaining why they don't offer it on the configurator buy page.

@reflectionblue,
I just checked your order and I do see that it's already in Stage 6, and should be shipping soon. PayPal payments take some time for our team to verify as it's a manual process, especially since we do not officially accept PayPal from our website. We do allow customers to make a purchase with PayPal, but it's with a transaction fee as of right now. In the future, we're planning to offer PayPal later on this year as a full option. If you need additional help, feel free to email me: [email protected]
