I would like to know how to efficiently manage my Hard Drives.

Specifically I would like to keep my 150GB Velociraptor dedicated strictly to the Operating System and my installed games.

My Secondary Drive of 500GB can hold everything else.

Could somebody please advise if possible what programs, files and folders I have to keep in the C Drive and which ones I can move to the Secondary Drive. Or a location where I can find information pertaining to same.

Thank you.

Does this make sense to anybody....

Keep your installed programs on C:

Keep your saved data on your 500g drive.

Ok Harleyman.....I understand some of what you said...I'm not that knowledgeable about building partitions for each game though. Sounds like a good idea. But I'd like to keep my games on the 150GB C Drive...or would it make a difference performance wise if I partitioned them on the 500GB Drive? I only have 2 drives.
You may have to go into some detail about partitioning drives or if you can direct me where I can learn to do that and what the advantages are.
Thanks again for your help.

Vista has its own limited Partition management tools. Open the control panel, switch to classic view and then click Administrative tools, computer management & then Disk management. Right click on the drive you want to add partitions to, & select SHRINK VOLUME, give it a size and follow prompts. Then you can partition the "free space" into a partition, & then repeat in that partition.
