After doing alot of research I've decided to purchase a pc from Digital Storm based off of quality and price. I originally was leaning towards Marauder level 1 but after looking into Vanquish level 2 I'm not so sure and I'm hoping to get some advice so as to make the right decision.
I intend to spend about $800 plus shipping. Either computer will be a drastic improvement over my current 8 year old rig that I've been upgrading slowly over the years. I will be using the rig for gaming but will not require ultra high settings initially as I will be upgrading it many times thru out it's life span. So here are my main concerns. Which processor is going to be better? At a glance I would guess Marauder's processor would be due to it being quad core and 3.8 GHz but I'm no expert. Which gpu is going to be better? I'm nearly certain Vanquish's gpu is superior but looking for a second opinion. Is Vanquish going to be easy to upgrade down the road? I couldn't find info specifically about how much space there is to work with inside the chassis. Is it possible to disable the chassis lighting if I find it annoying? My current chasis is lit blue and there have been many times I've wanted to throw a blanket over it while I'm sleeping. Vanquish has a larger hard drive than Marauder but that's an easy upgrade while Marauder has a larger power supply than Vanquish which is not something I like to replace. Vanquish also ships much sooner than Marauder. I really think the processor is going to be a key point for me due to the issues I'm having with my current pc's limitations but will appreciate any and all feedback you can provide. Thanks. |

Hi KracKils......Welcome to the forums. There is no Marauder preconfigured systems anymore. There were but I don't remember what was what. There are Marauder left over builds in the TechCenter but not sure what levels they were.
The Vanquish is the best for the budget, with custom builds giving more options but more money. The internal lighting does have a off/on red switch on back panel. The Vanquish is easily upgradeable. It'll fit most mobo s, graphic cards, etc. Just have to match power supply to any future upgrades to graphic cards. Hope this helps and good luck.

The Vanquish builds are tough to beat for the money. Stay in touch and let us know how it goes.
