I just ordered a system with 16GB RAM (config 1855275). How is the memory configured? I know my MB has four slots. Will I be getting 4x4GB or 2x8GB? Does it vary depending on what you have in stock? Do I have a say in the configuration?
Looking forward to getting the computer. My old one hates me. |

Congratulations. That is a nice system. You can probably request how your memory be configured. If anything you might have to pay extra if more expensive. I would call them if you have a preference. Keep us posted.

Most likely the ram will be 2x8 sticks but a quick call is best if you have a preference.
Nice build. You don’t need that big a psu, a 750 watt more than enough but up to you. |

The large PSU was deliberate. I wanted to have an upgrade path should I decide to add another GPU after a while. I switched out the MB for one that can accommodate two graphics cards as well. This what was recommended by DS before I placed the order. It takes into consideration an assumed 20% loss of efficiency of the PSU over time. |

Just got my rig in Jan. Got 2x8GB sticks. Very little doubt this is DS's standard configuration.
Suggest you research SLI before you go that way. It's got lots of drawbacks. The 1070 outperforms the last gen's top 980, and the next gen may blow us all away, Just sayin'. |
