I'm having issues with my Cube after ten glorious years. My x58 MB seems to be having issues and that's affecting my 990x extreme processor. Trying to fix it BUT. Just in case I can't.

I'd just like to say that with as much love as you've shown Digital Storm over the years you should damn well get it painted in purple! I'll even send Alex an extra paint brush and we'll get him to do it by hand...

Wow, an end of an era.
That setup looks awesome but of course the Gurus will chime in. Just not sure having 4TB in Storage Set is actually helpful but who am I to question you?
That Titan XP is still a great card and well regarded. I'm sure you'll find a good home for it or keep it going for work.

With so little supposed wait time to Rocket Lake GEN 11 procs and PCIe 4 Boards (March) IMHO, you should at least see what's coming. PCIe 3 isn't dead, but it isn't going anywhere, either.

I’m specing a PC similar to him, except probably Ryzen 5950X, 3090… I’d go Intel if I could, but the performance isn’t there in the 11th Gen. I have a 10980HK/2080 Super in my Laptop.

What colour can I spec? Can I do any automotive paint and just give you the Paint number? What is ___ and what are the options available on ___: trim, laser mark, sound deadening, chassis mod? Can you do fans/lights that all run on the same software (I’m assuming the Corsair controller will be able to control all the lighting/show the temps)? Can you do a CPU/GPU/MOBO water loop (probably going to be the dark hero mobo.)? Can you get me a KINGP|N 3090?

I'm not opposed to the Ryzen 5000 series; however, if it helps, linked are results from a recent Core i7 11700K + RTX 3090 build.

UserBenchmarks: Game 279%, Desk 115%, Work 279%

The CPU cooler is a front mounted Corsair iCue H150i Elite Capellix with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste.

Because it's not clear from in the benchmarks, the SSD is a WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe

I intend to run it as a Render (RNDR) Network node -- waiting for a slot to open -- which is why it's connected to a FHD rather than UHD monitor.

Sadly, that's a pipe dream for most thus far. For the above rig, I need to use Asus Aura, EVGA Precision, and Corsair iCue. I've read Corsair has a plugin for the Asus software, but I couldn't figure it out according to the instructions I recalled and gave up trying to integrate the two.

I haven't seen any system builder offer the Kingpin, probably (at least in part) because it's an EVGA Elite Member exclusive purchase option. Also, it appears, EVGA now has a more premium, water block only version:

I’d like to go Intel, I’m just not sure at this point. I see you have a K|NGP|N 3090. I’m jealous. That kind of sucks with the Lighting, I don’t want to have to run 50 programs to control everything since my Monitors, Mouse, and Mouse Pad also have RGB.

The RGB control situation really is annoying, but I don't foresee changes because it pressures people into committing to a single brand -- good for sales even if some customers gripe about it.

Nah. I have an EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra. I'm not disappointed though as it's able to hold at 1920MHz when the ambient temp is 24 C/75 F or cooler. I initially tried for an Asus ROG Strix 3090 White Edition, however, it just wasn't going to happen in availability. I did briefly consider a K|NGP|N to try and get the performance of 1.5 3090's - HA! And, well, if a person is going to pay insanely marked up prices from scalpers why not buy an insane card? -- again, HA! Beyond the ~$3.5 to 4k USD scalper price, the K|NGP|N requires a case that can accommodate a 360 rad on the top. Mounting a GPU rad in the front would be pointless.

Anyway... The only upgrade I may make to the system is swapping the 64GB kit of HyperX Fury for a 128GB kit of Trident Z Royal -- the price isn't bad compared to other 128GB kits.

I see that MOBO has a great onboard DAC already, so I guess I can scratch that. It also has 4 M.2 NVME slots which will work awesome.

Hi YearZer0.
That would probably be an awesome system.
I suggest that you start your own thread so that the configurator gurus can see it is from you and not oldlady RPGer.
Enjoy.

Hiya Nomad. I'm retiring at the end of the year and we are buying a smaller house. So will wait to buy the Aventum till then. So much stuff to pack. I'm packing my Star Wars "toys" tonight.
How's "My Precious 2" doing(I just watched LOTR extended editions last week)?
YearZerO that's quite the build.

Hope everything goes smoothly for you. That is quite the chore you have ahead.

The good news is Alder Lake will be out in October, so you will have some real choices available. Rocket Lake brought little to the table to topple Zen 3 IMHO.

My Precious 2 is purring along just fine. Had a little hiccup early on, but that has been fixed.
Also, my very fine Dell U3014 monitor is still functioning perfectly. Thank you again for telling us about it.
I watched LOTR extended versions this last Winter, probably will again this next Winter. Winters are long and cold up here.
