Might OC system I'm getting in 6 days Thoughts?

At this time I did not get the free boost because I'm not sure I really need it and it use to be that it takes life off the CPU. In your option should I OC when I get my system? I play World of Warships, 7 Days to Die. Battlefield Games Total War games, Arc and many others.

Agree. The cpu Turbo is very good.   Not much benefit pushing it a little higher.   

Our pleasure if you ended up wanting to oc anyways let us know but for gaming turbo boost on 8700k will do it.

The OP's specs show a non K chip. ? 

I mean, and I could be wrong here, but the 8700 only turbo boosts all 6 cores to something like 4.3ghz.  Only one core hits 4.6ghz, 2 is like 4.5ghz and 3 is 4.4ghz.  I think.

But at the end of the day, it has a locked multiplier on it, so you'll have to mess with the base clock really to get over clocks.  Which I can not recommend enough that you do not do. 

One of the biggest reasons people "Overclock" is so that they can get 4.6ghz across all cores.  Not against a single core.  But kind of pointless for you since you went with the non-k variant.
