Hello all,
Just received my DS computer yesterday and I can't seem to get Minecraft installed. When I try to install the launcher I get a black box and nothing happens. Never had this issue before. Hopefully someone can help.

I would check your firewalls to see if its being blocked.  Your Windows has Windows Defender which is a firewall.  Either disable it for now to see if it helps or add the link as safe to the firewall.  Same for your ISP, although that probably didn't change with new pc.  Check anyways.

Can you download anything else?  If no, go into Device Manager and make sure the drive is allocated, working.  If not, right click the the drive and select allocate or format, depends what it says.

Good luck.  Big%20Smile

In addition to what bprat22 suggested, are you trying to install the Java or Bedrock edition of Minecraft? It's possible that if it's the Java edition it's relying on Java packages your computer doesn't innately have due to being so new, but I think newer Minecraft launchers bundle the Java into the installer itself, so that's probably a reach on my part.
