Would you say a CPU or a GPU upgrade would offer a better performance boost in an MMO?

Also what kind of performance boost can be expected from 2gigs of Ram to 4gigs (overall)

Pentium 2
128MB of RAM
No GPU

Probably a memory upgrade and then a GPU. CPU really aint gonna help you much.

Most all of the popular MMO games are made so they can run well on lower end systems to maximize the number of paying players.  But, in crowded areas more memory and then a bit stronger card can help you.

I would go with more memory first, thats the cheapest and most effective way to tweak MMO games.

Oh, and I just looked at your sig........ You are kidding me right? Confused  You can probably play 'pong' on that and thats it!  LOL.... you need a new rig, NOW!  Hell, an E-Machine for 400 buck from Circuit City would thrash you!

GPU > RAM > CPU for MMOs.
