Mobo help?!?

Hey,
Currently working on a sandy bridge build.  Though I am 100% on ordering from DS I have been searching "parts" websites for things not listed on the DS builder.  I noticed that DS only has a select number of mobos listed and was wondering if boards like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131700 or any of the other "Extreme" boards are a waste of money?  Though I have not done much OC in the past, i will be getting the 2600K due to its high OC(able) reputation and boards as the one listed above aparently make it quick and easy.  Is getting something like that worth the money (IF you have it to spare)?

the p8p67 deluxe is more than enough motherboard.
