Opinions and/or thoughts of this possible stage 6 cooling solution for the Hailstorm, for those people, like myself, who may not want a radiator hanging off the back of their Hailstorm? This pedestal from MountainMods.com can be either mounted on the top or bottom of the Hailstorm case.

if you stick on top, then there is a rad there already.
where would you stick on the bottom? you mean this is gonna be the bottom of the case? |

Its a big bulky for me, but thats just me, if you don't like the rad in the back then this should do ok in the bottom.

DST, you are right there is a rad already on top. Couldn't you take the rad that is at the top of the hailstorm out, and place the pedestal on top and add potentially three quad rads in its place, providing the top panel instead of solid be replaced with a four hole panel like the side panel?
Or as you also stated, it can go on the bottom.
Justin you are right the pic I posted is of a base pedestal which would go on the bottom, and I copied this excerpt below from the first sentence of the description on the mountaindmod.com website and went ahead and bolded and underlined what I saw when I read the description...lol
The Mountain Mods - Tower Pedestal 24 acts as a separate chamber underneath or on top of your Mountain Mods or other manufactured Tower Computer Case.
lol...my fault for not providing enough detail on the original post

lol..I agree, it would be a bit bulky for me too and probably for most people, except for maybe justin.kerr...lol
That is why I asked the question. As always, I appreciate your thoughts and feedback.

I think its a matter of preference, if I was doing what justin does, I would probably build a pc like justin is, cause for that use that makes all the sense.
In a way it would look like this pic they have on their site:
which to be honest looks geat to me, just a bit too tall for my space, but if I had more room I think I may have gone with this, I would just have to figure out how the bottom filter for the 800d and little stuff like that would endup working. |

You are right it is a matter of preference, and also agree that if I were to build a benchmarking beast like Justin is doing, it would make more sense to have something similiar in dimensions to the drunken monkey. Since I don't have that size case...lol, I was looking at possible ways to add additional cooling, when upgrade time comes...lol, without having a radiator on the outside of the case.
Thanks again. I appreciate your input
