OopsI bought it before I knew that 5ms and under is good, and 120hz was better than 60 hz. Color me embarrassedOops  I will be running a tri CF 6970s system.
How much difference is it gonna make?

The U2711 is a fine monitor, I speak from using it personally, to play a FPS (Bad Company: 2) at a friend's house. Don't read to much into all the manufacturer provided technical specifications in regards to contrast, etc. I am using a Dell IPS with the same response time as yours, and I get absolutely *no* input lag, at all, in any game I play and I don't even use the "Game Mode" of the monitor.

response time and contrast ratio numbers = BS.

most important thing in a monitor is the type of panel, IPS has great quality, you got a great monitor and you think you got a bad one , 120Hz allows you to do 3D.

Hey well thats good news! There for a second I thought not having 120hz was a rookie mistake. I just wont be doing 3D with this one I guess.Smile
