A friend of mine installed win 7 32 bit version on his old dell demension 4600. His monitor is a dell st2410. He said it worked fine with xp but when he upgraded to win7, it went black. Has to do a hard reboot and it'll flicker on and off and then go black again. His old 17" dell monitor works fine. He also said the 24" monitor works fine on a newer rig he has. He also updated drivers on his geforce fx 5200 and it didn't help. Any ideas? Why would upgrading to win7 stop his ability to use the 24" monitor? Thanks for your help.
