So I have my ODE 3 and my asus vh232h... but no clue how to make them work. which cable is which? where do i plug them in?

Plug in the DVI cable from your monitor to the computer's DVI output on the video card. If you have more than one video card, plug it in any of the two ports on the very top video card.
