re-seat your gpu, reinstall your drivers, make sure all connections are right.
Most important thing about a monitor is its panel, right now there are 2 major ones, TN and IPS, IPS has superior picture quality/clarity. 1. response time is a bs number, its there to fool you and does not represent the true response time of the monitor, there is no real way of truly finding what response time is, the closest to it is white to white but you don't see that, you see grey to grey or black to black cause they give small numbers to fool users but they don't mean anything, there are different methods to get these numbers also, and each will give a different number as results, therefore you can even compare one to the other, cause we don't know what method was used for which, and even if we did, still GTG or BTB don't mean anything. 2. contrast ratio is also bs number. here is a good ips one: Dell UltraSharp u2312 sc cards are not a great idea, also you should have gone with sli 570 for that res, thats all you needed. without vsync, your gpu and monitor go out of sync and you get what you are experiencing. With vsync off you might, why are you turning it off?
you don't need to get rid of the 580, you can do sli 580, I was just let you know all you needed was sli 570 vs sli 580, so next time you can save some money if you find yourself in the same situation, and wanted the readers to know for your res all they need is sli 570, but if you get sli 570 then thats even more money, at this point just get another 580 if you need it, unless your son is over due for a gpu upgrade. ![]() Edited by DST4ME - 29 Nov 2011 at 7:15pm |

Thats my point, on a 60Hz monitor you are not going to notice more fps then 60.

the white pci slot, its gonna be at x8,if you put it on the black one then its gonna be at x4 and you don't want that.
yes use the bridge that came with mobo. Your psu will have the connectors for card also, I think you need a 6pin and a 8 pin, the cables for it is either hidden behind the other side panel or with extra stuff you got. My pleasure ![]() Edited by DST4ME - 30 Nov 2011 at 6:46pm |
