I have been looking at buying a new monitor for a long time now. I am thinking at buying the Dell UltraSharp U3011. I have seen some posts on this forum that this monitor is a good one. What are some other good monitors out there. I looked at the other posts for monitors but my problem is I do not know very much about monitors and which numbers to look at and which not to look at.

Most important thing about a monitor is its panel, right now there are 2 major ones, TN and IPS, IPS has superior picture quality/clarity.

Also keep in mind that contrast ratio and response time are bs numbers so pay no attention to those.

the u30 is a great IPS panel.
