I am using the computer for Lightroom, gaming and general use. I am looking for a 1440p IPS or VA monitor. G-Sync or G-Sync compatible would probably be good, as well as 144Hz or 165Hz. I would prefer to stay under $700. The further under I can stay would be great, but not at a significant quality tradeoff. Thanks. |

Just checked Amazon!
Absolutely best buy right now is the Acer Predator XB271HU 27" 1440 p G-Sync IPS on sale for over $200 off at $492. It is the direct rival for the Asus PG278Q which is either in very short supply right now, or may have been discontinued for the PG278QR. The QR model is not the better monitor IMHO. The Predator boasts a very impressive (to me) 86% combined 4 and 5 star reviews from 550 customers.

Let me also ask about the LG 27GL850. It is G-Sync Compatible rather than G-Sync, but it seems to also be a very good monitor. Thoughts? |

Okay. I would lean toward the LG. It's newer and supports HDR. G-Sync compatible means it's certified by Nvidia. I would not pay much more for it though. I've seen prices between $499 and $650. Looks like best Buy might be the easiest reliable place to go at $499.99.

Thanks. I was bouncing back and forth over a number of monitors and decided on the LG GL850 from Best Buy.
I am currently using a LG 27GL63T. so it will be similar as far as the joystick and outward look. My wife will get this monitor along with my current rig and her current rig will be a ready-spare. |

Thank you for your help. It focused me down to 3-4 monitors and from there I winnowed out.
I won't have G-Sync, but I will have G-Sync Compatible, which should be enough for me. |

Please let us know what you think of that one after you've tried it out. The short list I gave you was just the ones that have been recommended here on the Forum. I have seen yours before, but it was from another or two that said they were getting one, but never reviewed it for us. I'd like to add it to the list.
