If you haven't ordered a system from DS, heres a alittle incentive... since they redesigned there products config page, I put in the same config as what i ordered and it is now 130 dollars cheaper!! they put in more work on their webpage and your saving money.

Actually, price of hardware drops constantly, it even goes up! The price for E8400 processors are going up by a lot as well! We try our best to reflect current market pricing to our customers. To our older customers, I understand from your shoes, but, also, please understand that, at the time you placed your order, Digital Storm paid a higher price for the hardware, if we would pass that price drop to you, it would cut our thin profit margins to zero.

Yep,
I would think that most of us realize this when we order. It's all about timing. Maybe DSO will raise the prices just to make us recent buyers feel better! Of course, we still have a great warranty and you can't say that about to many other places.

qft Right after configuring my systems I went on newegg.com to see how much it might have cost to make on my own. The profit margin was a very small $400 on a $1700 machine. Mind you this doesn't count shipping, which a rival configurator that I was looking at cost 100 bucks. So let us say 300 to build, test and run 3 years of unbeatable customer service. Also right before I ordered mine, dell upgraded there line and someone posted on these boards "dell come close" They only came close if you got 1 year of inferior customer service, when you paid for the 2 extra it bumped the price up 300 bucks. When you call DS customer service you dont have to spell you like like "A as in apple, L as in lemon....etc. |
