Just about any platformer. Hate 'em. Wolfenstein the New Order was very hard in the endgame. Borderlands 2 had some toughies. I'm afraid of Dark Souls, confident I won't cut it! So, kudos.

I haven't tried Borderlands 2, Silver Surfer, or DOOM Eternal. I'll give it a shot but I think they're gonna take me a while. I get frustrated when I couldn't finish the game and since these are all hard LOL

Hey there! How are you, people? Just checkin in. I actually have another question related to this. I mentioned I get frustrated when I can't complete or finish a game. I mean, I can't sleep, eat, and all that. I tend to be agitated and anxious, too. Is that normal? I mean, I think. However, my friend thinks I'm way out of the normal so she's telling me to see a therapist? I mean where did that come from. Never have I thought I would need that. I mean seriously, what does it have to do with my behavior towards games? Has anyone of you experienced the same thing and maybe has seen a therapist? How was it?

Dear friend, don't take it so hard! It frustrates the heck out of me, too, and I learned very early on (30 years ago) to never pay full price for any game just in case I couldn't play it! The way I often deal with those feelings if I just can't put them aside is... I cheat. That's right, I'll blatantly lower the difficulty for the bit I can't handle. If that's not possible, I'll scour the internet for a "god mode" or something to get past that hurdle, but just that part.

I deliberately stay as far away as I can from games that are "really hard" because I know I have limitations, and that I will not have fun being frustrated. Like I said above, I've heard about how hard Dark Souls is, and I'm not gonna go there. Basically, this thread is telling me which games I shouldn't buy!

I don't understand playing a game that frustrates or stresses the individual. You're playing. Most of the adults I know are already stressed enough with every day projects, duties and responsibilities. When I sit down to game I'm going to do something I find fun, relaxing, humorous, adventurous and entertaining.

I know my mental and physical limitations. I'm too old and too slow for "Twitch Shooters" so I don't play FPS games. I know my underlying medical conditions make VR games unplayable.. etc etc.

Why anyone would spend money and time to work at a game that is frustrating and stressful is almost beyond my comprehension.

Just my 2¢...

Your point is well taken, but many games intentionally present a challenge sometimes one simply must attempt. I appreciate most those games that present a gradient of difficulty so we codgers can try 'em out. I don't like frustration I can't resolve, and I'll bend a rule to get past a point that just won't bend to me.     But just like a difficult puzzle on paper or otherwise, it can be fun to overcome a challenge.

I find there is a huge difference between "Challenging" and "Frustrating". For example, if you remember the game Myst. THAT was a challenge. Frustrating I usually attribute to PVP games where other humans go out of there way to ruin your gameplay. Hence, the difference. One can find entertainment in challenging yourself without levels of pleasure destroying frustration.

Ah. I see. I've never believed myself to have the chops for multi-play, so I've never been subjected to the insult you're describing. That is a whole different ball game from my experience, and I would be at least equally as turned off. Good point.

World Of Warcraft. I never liked MMOs. I'm a single player gal. Gave it a try. Ended up I just wanted to bash the heads of the characters I was playing with. Lots and lots of cussing going on by me. Just wasn't for me.
I do like Gauntlet(4 player) with other players. And other(simple) games like Trivia Pursuit, Yahtzee etc.

I'm enjoying the hell out of Cyberpunk(computer and PS4)

Fav game? DIABLO.....
Me sitting my ECMO in PICU. Now you know why I like LC. ;)
