Which motherboard is the better choice,
the EVGA X58 3X SLI or the ASUS Rampage II Extreme very clueless on these issues, any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Drop the second gpu and use the money to upgrade to the 965EE cpu and add the memory fan set. One 295 is plenty for a 24" monitor at 1930x1200. You can always add a 295 later and it will be about 2-3 hunderd cheaper. also go with the asus xonar sound card.

Id go with the Evga board, my rampage board had a random ram issue and alot of other people have been having problems with cold boots and sli not functioning properly.. Besides.. Evgas customer support is second to none and you have a 90 day step up if you fancy there upcoming board.

wow, all this sounds great, just waiting for my funds to come together, I understand that you guys keep recommending the asus sound card, but I have actually read some great reviews on the razer sound card. Is there much of a difference between them other than about 80 dollars?
