I may be confused but when I configure an AMD SLI system the only motherboard you offer clearly states the following:

PCI Express x16 2 ( SLI MODE 8x )

Now why would you do this?

Basically, the motherboard can run the video cards at the full 16x speed when it is not in SLI Mode (single card). When SLI is on, the bus speed goes to 8x.

Don't let this concern you, with the bus even running at 8x, it is not saturating the potential of your system. The video cards have not caught up to that high of a speed yet.
