Does all the motherboard here in DS supports Crossfire.
especially the NVIDIA 750i SLI Core 2 Quad (Chipset: nForce 750i SLI)
because i was checking out some Motherboard specs etc... but it does not say that it supports Crossfire for ATI. Star

dang that was fast? so if the Vcar says SLI then it supports Crossfire, but if it says CROSSFIRE support then it does not support NVidia Vcards right?

Thanks DST4ME

damn what the hell am I talking about I'm sorry no, if it says sli its only sli, crossfire does crossfire.

I'm thinking one card sorry.

nvforce is only sli

so to be clear if going with only one card you can use either, but if you want to go double or triple cards (sli or crossfire) then you have to go with the mobo that specifies sli or crossfire.

When using more then one card (aka 2 or 3 cards):

Nvidia = SLI

ATI = Crossfire

Almost all motherboards except for a select few will only work with one of those two. So to keep things neat and tidy DS tells you which boards work with which brand of cards.

If you want to use 2 nvidia cards look for a (supports SLI or any lettering of SLI next to the mobo), If you want to use 2 ATI cards look for a (supports Crossfire). Otherwise it wont work with those cards, and DS will probaby tell you that anyways after or even before you order.

If you only use and plan on using 1 card and dont plan on adding a second later, then it doesnt matter, an single ATI or nvidia card will work on any Mobo.

Don't have one, i just ordered yesterday and my friend just questioned me, so that is why, but I can just email/call them to change one of my specs right? from the reviews I read and everything, I know they will do it. Ouch

I would just change my Mobo to a Asus Rampage Formula, Did not see this one yesterday, so maybe they just added this one. Thanks DS the best. or maybe a recommend Vcard wil appreciate it.

You know, do they have like a warning sign that warns you when you customize Vcards and Mobos or Processors are not compatible to each. that would be kindda helpful, or maybe i just missed it and maybe its located somewhere. Cool

I don't think they have one of those yet but when you order they will catch it then and call you and see what you want to do.

but you are right that would be nice to have.

Another thing for Clarification if the Memory Features of a Mother boards says:

Dual-Channel DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600
The motherboard supports DDR3 memory that features data transfer rates of 2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz to meet the higher bandwidth requirements of the latest operation system, 3D graphics, multimedia, and Internet applications. The dual-channel DDR3 architecture doubles the bandwidth of your system memory to boost system performance, eliminating bottlenecks with peak bandwidths of up to 28.8 GB/s. Furthermore, the supply voltage for the memory is reduced from 1.8 V for DDR2 to just 1.5 V for DDR3. This voltage reduction limits the power consumption and heat generation of DDR3 which makes it an ideal memory solution.

type DDR2-667 and above cannot be used on this type of Mother Board right?

thanks
