My build No. Is 791286 Should I stick with Sabertooth or go with ASUS P8Z77-M PRO? Its less $$, maybe up the ram instead...of course I can up grade the ram later if the Sabertooth is a better board Edited by mlamanna - 24 Feb 2013 at 3:50am |

The M Pro mobo has very good reviews and for most is probably sufficient. Just keep in mind that it is a micro board, hence the M , about 2.5 inches narrower and has less room for goodies. Instead of 6 Pci slots on most full size boards like the Sabertooth , it has 4. Now, for a single graphics card that's not a probelm, but if you went sli then the slots are filled and blocked and no room for audio, wifi, etc card. Not a problem for most.
Plus it has a couple less USB 2.0s on the back I/O panel. Again, not a probelm for most. The Saberttoth does have a 5 year warranty and the M pro a 3 years like most. Hope this helps.

Thanks the responses!! I totally over looked the size of the pro board, and yes, the PC will be 75% for gaming. So I will be sticking with the Sabertooth.
Hopefully thats it for questions and I can order the PC soon |

looks good, if you can go with noctua cooling instead.
keep in mind for games like metro and crysis you may need sli 670, you gonna need sli period to max those out and get above 60fps. IMHO upgrades for this pc down the road would be, gpu/ssd, and you are good with a beast. Ask DS specifically for this fan to be added to the top, so you endup with 4 x 200mm fans: haf 200mm non led fan |
