Can someone give me some advice. I have a DS computer I purchased around March of 2009. Been running flawlessly. About two weeks ago though I bought a new Naga mouse. Installed it and again it has been working flawlessly. Then yersterday, I installed Star Trek Online. When I robooted my system I suddenly have problem with the mouse being installed in Startup. When I bootup everything seems fine till the Logon screen. I notice at this point the mouse which normally lights up as do most Razer mice is not lighting up and no response. It sometimes takes 3-5 mins for the mouse to finally install and light up. Sometimes it doesn't until I unplug it and plug it back in. Before the mouse was active almost the second the logon screen came on.

Any advice?

sounds like your star trek software is not playing nice with your mouse drivers.

But if that were true why only during startup. Once the mouse starts working it is fine including in all games including Star Trek Online.

use msconfig to disable the startup apps and the startup services for start trek and see if it still happens, most times when you change something and then start to have trouble afterwards that means the new change is having a conflict.
