I decided to pair my 560 Ti with a 1920*1080 25 in monitor because I thought, after reading some early reviews, the card could not reliably handle a 27-30 in screen and 2560*1400 resolution. However, more recent reviews have shown that with 4xAA at 2560*1440 the card could pump out framerates between 35-60 fps. The games tested were all shooters, not MMOs that I play.
Did I under estimate the 560? Could I have rolled with a 27-30 in monitor?

Depends on the game, of course.
I'm sure there are plenty of games a 560 could rip through at 2560x, but there are also just as many that would curb stomp the 560 and then urinate on its lifeless corpse. |

For MMO, depending on the game you could be ok, if your system can do sli, then sli 560 and some good oc would have done well also, but at that res your vram could become an issue, again depending on the game.
In short for MMO I would say you would be ok with a good oc on the gpu, but for other fps games, you could run into trouble at that res. |

Wow, up early like me...misery loves company!
Rift. At ultra settings I am getting 65-70 fps at 1080 res. I will look into sli later in the year, would need to upgrade my 750 watt ps too. |
