My other computer is running Vista 32 and I am trying to open a program and keep getting this error:

"Run-time error '339':    Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid".

I have registered the program but it still won't work.  Any ideas on what could be causing this problem?

thats a vb file that no longer comes with vista, search your PC and see if you have it, if you have it copy it to the directory where the program is installed.

If not try and find it on the net, download it then first try putting it in the system32 folder, if that does not work then try putting it in the directory of the app.

by the way when you say you registered the program, what do you mean by that?

I went to the run command prompt and typed this

Regsvr32 Msinet.ocx

It said it registered it but that does not work.  I downloaded it and copied it to system32 that did not work, so I will copy it to the application folder and see if that work.

Beleive it or not the problem was user account control.  Turned it off and it worked.  UAC really is a pain, but now I have it turned it off on both computers.
