Anyone using a multi-monitor setup here?

I'm considering this DVI splitter from Matrox to spread gaming and apps over three monitors. Looks like a pretty solid GXM!

Same here with the ATI CC....

You know where I'm going with this with FSX.....I intend to send my DVI out into the box (in full SLI) and split the sig onto all three monitors.

But is it any better to bypass the box and plug each monitor DVI cable directly into the three separate cards (assuming SLI will be supported eventually)? is there any processing advantage to doing that as opposed to splitting off of one card in SLI...?

My only other concern with displaying games in a wide view format (excluding FS) is that, if you can see a much wider field of view in a game that was only intended for a single monitor display...will there be any wierd quirks revealed at the outer graphics that the programmers never intend to be seen...? How would that affect game play and how disorienting would it be to see incomplete or skewed renderings on the outer fringes?

I checked out Tom's Hardware review. Article is quite a bit old but it answers most of my q's.

Busy now...report back later.
