Well I gave these guys a little more grief that I should have over the past month, despite them not shipping my monitor with the computer (an action that they quickly fixed) this is one incredible machine.  I have it triple booting Win XP pro, Vista 64 bit, and Ubuntu Linux (they installed winxp I installed vista and ubuntu).  My opinion of Vista has gone down a bit.  Vista is pretty but IMHO not very stable.  Of course I have the 64 bit version so that could be part of it.

They had 17, 289 for 3dmark06 in the book.  I decided to benchmark it myself and it came in at 17, 500, so they are certainly accurate on their benchmarking numbers.  Out of the 2.5 million computers that have been benchmarked mine was 4000th from the top.  No doubt many of those probably have unstable overclocking or things like liquid nitrogen cooling etc. 

The system is also incredibly well put together.  I did not get the pro cabling but did get water cooling.  Everything is neatly tucked in the right spots, it just looks pretty.  The only problem I am having so far is getting the microphone to work on the sound card which is a minor problem. 

The Win XP install was extremely neat and clean and there was no marketing crap there at all. 

Anyway the DS team deserves all of the kudos they can get, this is certainly a PC that was worth waiting for.

Ah, I remember that rig from the Ubuntu Linux OS. Thanks for sharing the benchmarks. Always nice to have a better idea of the finished products.

Well, considering that anything that gets posted here is the property of DS, and it shouldn't be a huge concern to you that people aren't posting over there, DS can always take any praise report and post over there.  I really don't think that anyone that's posted a great review would have a problem with a DS employee posting it on the other site.

"You Know Who" will not allow anyone but an actual purchaser to post a review; certainly not an employee of the company. That would get DSO banned from the site in flash.
