well, you certainly dont need to drop the dough on that processor for some games and tv, its WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpaying (imho). other than that though, microsoft works is intrusive and large when you could get openoffice for free and with all the same functionality and more adaptability, haha.
you can take the extra dough and switch to the 950si case with themo-electric cooling also. this will keep your animals' hair from getting in too much. the 850si case is practically open air and i wouldnt trust it with all those guys running around. also, for your needs, you could go with the a1 revision 680i motherboard for less, unless you particularly want to have 3 graphics cards at full speed in the future. im not too sure about the Stacker 830 being vulnerable to pet hair, but it seems logical. anyone with experience? Saved Config: 134815 changed the cooling to liquid as its only a few bucks more and suddenly seems super cheap after dropping over 800 dollars from previous price, haha. an overclocked q6600 is destined to perform very well for everything you need, especially since the overclocking capabilities increase a fair amount with liquid cooling. Yea i was gonna say, how many games do you know of that are CPU limited vs more GPU limited? I guess its an old debate though which is better to plunk down more money on the CPU or GPU. Personally if you game i say the GPU.
So how about this, you get either a E8400 or a Q6600...and use the money saved on the CPU to get a 9800X2 which should be on the config this weekend they say.
