Im looking for a configuration for a gaming computer around $3500.

So far i have this: 225242

I would like to cut a little off the price though.

My gaming resolution will be 1920x1200 most likely.

I am going to be working with engineering and design programs in addition to gaming.

Another question though:
Would it be better to buy one GTX 280 and buy another later on or buy the 2 GTX 260+ ?

Oh. Do the Asus motherboards only support dual and trip or is that just the max they can hold?

260's are gonna be cheaper and offer almost the same performance oc'd as a 280 for a fraction of the price.

You could always change the mobo to an EVGA x58 and pickup another 260 and run tri sli.

Here is a link to a decent article on the entire 260 vs 280.
